Popular Post webfact
File photo for reference only Thailand will consider reopening bars earlier than planned after the number of new COVID-19 infections fell to the fewest in four months. Earlier this month, Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said it would be January 16 next year before bars and other nighttime entertainment venues would be able to open. However, on Friday the secretary general of the National Security Council Supot Malaniyom said that a proposal will be considered next week that could see bars given the green light to open earlier than scheduled. Mr Supot ruled out bars opening from December 1 but said the proposals to reopen were “really good” and said there is “a chance” the reopening would be brought forward. If approved, venues with SHA or equivalent safety measures would likely be able to reopen. Meanwhile, CCSA spokesperson Apisamai Srirangson urged venues to register for the SHA certification, adding that any early reopening will “depend on the readiness venues” to be able to create a COVID-19 free setting. The CCSA is also set to consider adding more countries to its list of places eligible for quarantine free travel from December 1. More than 50,000 tourists have now visited Thailand since the country opened to tourism on November 1. On Friday the Health Ministry revealed that 65% of people in Thailand had now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 53% have received two doses. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-11-20 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates Get your business in front of millions of customers who read ASEAN NOW with an interest in Thailand every month - email [email protected] for more information 3 1
Popular Post webfact
NSC chief says relaxation of Covid curbs on entertainment venues will be further discussed By Namo Vananupong BANGKOK (NNT) - The National Security Council (NSC) has indicated that discussions will take place next week over relaxing Covid curbs on additional activities such as entertainment venues, bars, pubs, and karaoke places. The prime minister will then make a decision before December 1 whether the relaxation will be implemented. National Security Council chief Gen. Supoj Malaniyom said further assessment is required before entertainment venues, pubs, bars, and karaoke places can be allowed to open. He said the government was concerned for the businesses and the prime minister had been calling for the plights of all groups of businesses to be addressed. Gen. Supoj referred to requests from a group representing pubs, bars and musicians asking for the government to speed up the reopening of entertainment venues. Although entrepreneurs representing the group had asserted they were ready to adhere to COVID-19 prevention measures, the group was told that the situation did not favor a reopening of the venues on December 1. The plans and proposals submitted by the representatives will be presented to the prime minister. The NSC secretary-general said the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration will be evaluating the situation once more next week and will present its findings to the prime minister for consideration before December 1. Gen. Supoj added that the number of countries and territories whose nationals will be allowed to enter Thailand without quarantine will be re-evaluated on December 1, but a full lifting of restrictions in all provinces was not yet at hand. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-11-20 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow ASEAN NOW on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 2
Popular Post Will B Good
Unless a decision is made very quickly and in tablets of stone, tourists are not going to gamble on coming or just wait to see what happens......they will go elsewhere and the Christmas/New Year season will be lost. 65 5
Popular Post Gsxrnz
Well it might be good news but I'm a bit perturbed about the journalist putting "really good" and "a chance" in parenthesis. When I use parenthesis in that manner it usually means there is two thirds of sweet FA chance that it's gonna happen. As in when I tell 'er-indoors "I promise I won't get trolleyed and be home before half-past something o'clock". I start most night's out with a chaperone on each shoulder. One has wings and the other is red and has little horns. Yep.....I think you are correct.....especially with covid tests/Thai Pass/Test&Go to organize on top of the usual stress of making big holiday bookings. Word got back to the missus as there's thousands of pairs of eyeballs about, most of whom have phones and are on social media, and some of whom are likely to know the wife. Perhaps some fundamental orifices are going "sixpence, half a crown, sixpence half a crown" when they contemplate the failure of the great re-opening, and it's likely effect upon public opinion? Perhaps not so much for the foreigners benefit, but millions of Thais, especially the younger ones, may be getting awfully tired of "house arrest"!

Christmas new year and months after are already lost. 99% of real tourists have booked their holidays. Last minutes are as good as none existing as you need all registration and paperwork and all.
