Airlines notified of Thailand’s restrictions on travellers from 8 African countries

The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has notified all airlines about the Thai government’s travel restrictions, including the entry ban on travellers from eight African countries now facing, or at risk of facing, the spread of the new coronavirus variant, known as Omicron.

Siriraj Hospital cautions against renewed Covid outbreaks in December after resurgence in Europe

BANGKOK (NNT) - Europe is now experiencing a resurgence of COVID-19 outbreaks, notably in Austria, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Italy. In Thailand, respected public health figures are also expressing concerns about a potential resurgence of outbreaks in December amidst cooler weather and increased movement of people.

PM urges everyone to get COVID-19 jabs

PHUKET: Food and drink vendors in Phuket are only allowed to sell alcohol and allow alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises from 11am-2pm and 5pm-11pm, Phuket Vice Governor Pichet Panapong has confirmed.

Wave of online misinformation leads to vaccine hesitancy in Thailand’s refugee camps

As Thailand struggles to control lingering cases of COVID in the north, many refugees along the Thai-Myanmar border are reluctant to be vaccinated. Misinformation is seeping into the camps. And now, local groups are rushing to spread the truth.

Oo Reh has no intention of getting vaccinated.  The 34-year-old Karreni refugee lives in ‘Camp 1,’  a refugee settlement a two hour drive from Mae Hong Son through dirt roads and rough terrain.
