Has the Visa Exemption now Returned to 30 Days from the 45 Days that it was during peak Covid times?

Stop putting ideas into their heads ????

It's 30 days. Won't be going back to 45.

Its 60 days always has been for Covid visa extensions.

First up it's a covid extension.

No such thing as a covid visa extension.

Secondly the OP has nothing to do with "covid extensions".

He was asking about #of days for visa exempt entry. That is 30 days.

That was increased to 45 days (temporary measure) some time ago and subsequently back to the normal 30 days.

Unrelated covid extensions are 60 days.

But getting a visa extension  after a visa exempt extension  is a possibility

You would be obtaining an extension to your permission of stay.

Visas cannot be extended.

Well now, here are photos of different  sources calling it a "COVID" visa extension.   Though you are correct all types of visas granted under a certain definition  are simply  visa extension  but I alone must be incorrect,  or the other reputable sources used here are incorrect.

Even immigration calls it "visa extension", but this term is still wrong and misleading and should be avoided.

Finally your correct. All those paper clips along with your statement is incorrect.

I'm not trying to be picky, but it's important to understand the terms correctly.

True even the immigration offices will refer to "visa extension". That's also incorrect, along with the term "retirement visa".

We know what people mean and most of the times it doesn't matter.

Calling it a visa extension is not correct,

This is what it states on the the TM7 form for extensions. It does not mention a visa.

So all the media photos are incorrect
