Cases seem to be dropping pretty quickly now, but could that be due to the holiday weekend and fewer tests being processed, of course we did have that anomaly the other day where the numbers went up?

Just saw that pop up, and now it has me wondering what further tests are needed ........inconclusive what the hell does that mean in scientific terms.

Let's hope they stick to their word!

As you know there has been no hysteria or panicking in Thailand regards this new variant, what they did on restrictions from those African countries was a measured response in the light of an unknown threat at the time. In the grand scheme of things the amount of visitors from those countries was not a major contributing factor to Thailand's economy anyway as all the other countries are still able to visit under test and go.

Technically a lockdown is instigated to avoid a health care system collapse and buy time. With this new variant and the level of vaccinations in Thailand thats highly unlikely to be needed again now. They need to keep on with the vaccination push in those Provinces where it is still unexplainably still so low and the boosters for the rest of us.

The issue with the schools and their closure for just one case of covid was around before Omicron and that's one that individual school management teams and local Province disease control departments need to get sorted and follow the practice of other schools that manage it far better and are more realistic in their approach. With the caveat that the Province's in question are vaccinated to the good level.

Its not often you need 3 tests for confirmation, I read in one of the initial articles that they ran the first pcr test at very high cycles, perhaps the second was done at the normal cycle and hence the negative?
