Actually no. That is just notarisation.

As correctly stated Thailand is not signed up to the Hague international Apostille system.

However, a lawyer still needs to get a certificate of authenticity from the appropriate government department to support the notarised PoA.

I'm waiting for a few replies from lawyers for exact process and cost.

 

If I was in Bangkok I could simply get it from the consulate.
