Laotian man arrested for Victory Monument convenience store robbery - blames online gambling

Phayathai police in Bangkok have made an an arrest after an armed man went into a convenience store in the Victory Mall near Victory Monument on Saturday night and stole 4,000 baht. 

 

Police traced the suspect to Rachada Soi 12 in Huay Kwang. 

 

He is Tok, 22, from Laos.

 

A toy gun was recovered along with other items of evidence.

 

Tok said that he was stressed out because he had lost money on online gambling, reported https://www.dailynews.co.th/news/572040/Daily News.

 

So he took a taxi to Victory Monument and robbed the store.

 

After that he took another taxi to Bang Bon for no particular reason than to get away then headed back home.
