Phuket Sandbox Hotel Certificate

Featured Replies

To apply for Test & Go through Thailand Pass you needed a hotel certificate on one page that stated the reservation included airport transfer and PCR test.  Now that I'm looking into Phuket Sandbox accommodation it seems that a lot of the hotels don't include transportation and test in the package.  Is this normal?  Will it be accepted by Thai Pass?

The documentation for the Phuket Sandbox is slightly different.

The SHA+ hotel provides you with a SHABA certifcate.

The Code on the SHABA certificate is used on the PSAS website to book the PCR Tests (choice of 6 test locations).

Hotel may or may not include transport, it doesnt really matter, taxi’s at Phuket airport are SHA+ rated.

Thanks Richard.

So you have to book the PCR test yourself on PSAS.  Do you book it before applying for Thailand Pass?  Does the test have to be taken immediately after arriving at Phuket airport?

yes, when applying for TP your hotel booking is needed.

Fist test at the airport.

Now there is another PCR test at the end of 7 days sandbox

You seem up to speed with sandbox info so can you confirm that the Phuket sandbox 5 day stay is still on ? If so , how many pcr tests are needed in Phuket ?

No 5 days for Phuket sandbox. 7 days are required.

2 PCR Tests are required (after arrival and on day 6-7)

4th of January 2022 new updates will be available ,(changes are expected).

Good luck to everyone planning to visit Thailand, including me

Test on arrival at the Airport, then a follow up test on day 6*(which was initially an ATK and is now RT-PCR) at a PSAS location (pre-booked) - Websites being updated (should be updated by now).
