If I wanted to fly to Phuket from the US I would have to transit through BKK as there are no direct flights.....how do people expect to travel if there are no direct flights. The general consensus from the experts is that it replicates faster in the throat in the first 3 days so nasal swabs may not be as effective in that period. The ER ward and facilities will be cleaned and disinfected over the next two days. How many NEED to be in hospital though? I bet only 10% of them. 2 of my wife's young students from her college were carted off to hospital a week ago with minor symptoms. They are still stickign with the old policy of isolation. This just won't work here if numbers hit 30-40K a day. Sadly, it seems that such an increase is needed to force their hand and allow those with minor symptoms to isolate at home. We are all going to be exposed, eventually. These included a group of customers who celebrated New Year at Ban Kai Restaurant in Hua Hin Municipality, which has now resulted in 12 confirmed cases. A new cluster was also found in Sam Roi Yot Subdistrict, which has now resulted 11 confirmed cases. Officials said they are continuing to monitor an ongoing cluster among regimental conscripts, that has resulted in a cumulative total of 66 cases. Elsewhere in the province, 3 cases were found in Pranburi, 9 cases in Sam Roi Yot, zero cases in Kuiburi, zero case in Thap Sakae, 6 cases in Bang Saphan, 4 cases in Bang Saphan Noi, and 17 cases in Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan.
