Police box in front of which the accident happened seems unmanned. Would have been a target for the Nissan if going a bit further to the left (viewed from the picture).

The Nissan Note was coming into the intersection from Chaiyaphruek road. The motorcycles were turning from beach road up into Chaiyaphruek road.

I didn't see the moment of impact, but I heard it.

I suspect the Nissan wanted to turn left onto Beach Road, but was in the right hand lane on Chaiyaphruek road, racing through the red light, the light turned green for the MCs, one slammed into the left side of the Note, the other veered to the left while in the turn and was hit by the white pickup truck, who was making a left turn to go up Chaiyaphruek road. The Note lost control after the MC impact, and slammed into the pole, air bags deployed.

White truck also sustained damage, was hauled away by flatbed tow truck. 1 MC in the middle of the road, 1 MC at the right curb. Please examine in detail!

The devastation as a result of this big accident is next level.

Well, car, truck, and 2 motorcycles is more than the usual. Usually only 1 or 2 vehicles.

For Jomtien, maybe, I live near Hwy 36, and the motorway..... they do 'big' out that way. I hope nobody badly injured,  We got people who have never ridden bikes, people who have never ridden or driven on the left, and Bangkok drivers mesmerized by clear roads ahead, and whacky races going on.

Seen an "accident" on jomtien 2nd road 3 days ago.  Motorbike rider with his head bashed in.  Too fast no care .... nothing changes

I live in a condo overlooking Jomtien 2nd Rd. between Soi Wat Boon and Theprasit intersection.

It is, day and night, a speedway with both loud motorcycles and cars treating it like a dragstrip.  NEVER any enforcement.

Also: never, ever trust a pedestrian crossing, especially those with traffic lights along Second Road.

Yup.  So careful one lane will stop and the outside lane a motorbike or car will go through a red light while you are crossing . Just as that poor girl killed in Bangkok recently . The police are more interested setting up stops checking licences with 5 or 6 if them writing tickets . Pathetic plod useless

Yes I was pulled over Monday... just licence check. I was maskless when stopped but other than waiting while I put it on, that was no issue to them.
