Ten Years Ago, I never knew that such a forum existed, such as this Bedlam Forum, on TV

Featured Replies

TV has something for everybody.

In my opinion, the stranger the forum, then the better a writer one must be.

One of the strangest books I have ever read is "Giles Goat Boy", which might be considered tame here.

And so, do you think that John Barth might be welcome to post here?

Some pronounce the TH sound in different ways, depending upon if one is Asian or not.

But, I can tell you that the TH sound, in the name John Barth, is pronounced with a hard T.

Pretty interesting that TV now has a forum such as this.

Rather uplifting, just to know this.

Anyway, rather interesting to find this part of TV which I had not known existed.

Thankfully, I finally found this place on TV, before I died.

I am not sure how I found this place, but probably this was only a matter of chance.

Also, as far as I can see, there are very few viewers on this BEDLAM forum.

I mean, very few hits here.

Seems no one is interested in this Bedlam Forum, since the topics discussed seem rather uninteresting.

And so, this forum, as it appears, is sort of the dregs of the dregs of TV, apparently.

But of course, I am very happy to see that Bedlam actually exists, having thought that Bedlam was just a figment of our imagination.

As you know, good things never last.

In fact, nothing lasts.

Because, the second law of thermodynamics causes us to think about entropy.

And so, some guys believe that they will be able to enjoy eternity in Heaven, and gush over playing their harps.

But this is impossible, since we know that Physics is Physics, and that even Heaven must submit to entropy.

This Bedlam forum is interesting.

Bedlam has been something I have been seeking.

After all, our entire universe is still not defined, and so, until we know whether there is life after death, then so many of us will never feel at peace.

OK.

No doubt, there are even more interesting things here which I know not much about.

As I always say, here we can find interesting and useful things which make our lives even more worth living.

Still, one needs to be here long enough to understand that things are not always what they seem, at first glance.  And, this is something I learned, finally, after quite a number of years.

Things are really not what they appear to be in the beginning, and therefore one should not be so quick to rush to judgment, me thinks.

The World is Not Enough

The World is Not Enough

It is an integral part of Human Nature, the fact that Enough will never be Enough.

And, the understanding of this is equal to the understanding that this simple fact of human nature presiges our ultimate demise, which, me thinks, is now in the offing.

(Might I also add that, no matter how much I appreciate this forum, I have always been a conservative and mainstream kind of poster. Therefore, my habit will always be to post my comments, almost exclusively, on the Farang Pub, being farang, but not usually loving them.)

Note: Great to see you, out and about these days. I always say what I mean, which is not necessarily to say that I always mean what I say. Long live Dogson!!!)

I would like to to make an observation and a respectful comment, if I may.

During the past 48 hours, the Farang Pub forum has been renamed.

Nostalgically speaking, I am, in this respect, sorry to see this inevitable change of name.

However, on the plus side this new name will signal a more inclusive atmosphere for posters who are not white, either figuratively or physically.

As for me, I am sort of a faux farang, white on the outside but neutrally colored in my heart. It has always been this way with me, naturally.

But I must warn you of this:

ThaiVisa will forever be ThaiVisa, to me.

The Farang Pub, in name and spirit, will live on in me, forever.

Nostalgia is important to all of us and as research clearly demonstrates.

PC Newspeak can never change history or what lies deep beneath our breast.

My heart aches to see the demise of this amazingly creative Farang Pub forum name, just as yours.

However, for the common good, we must all embrace these sacrifices, these whittlings-away of our once-shared culture of decades.

There is no doubt, and several have voiced similar views, that TV, during the recent two years, and since the pandemic, has become a better forum, and a forum which is kinder and more tolerant, and more inclusive.

Honestly speaking, TV has now become the best forum in Thailand. The reason for which, in my humble opinion, is excellent moderation from hard-working moderators, combined with an ejection of "Bad Apples", sending the riff-raff of the old TV to other lesser forums, need we mention names. In a sense, TV has followed Castro's good policy when he sent many of Cuba's criminals to Miami, at the request of the powers that be in America.

Please do not misinterpret what I say, for facetiousness. In fact, I probably would not have been interested in posting comments, beginning in July of last year, had it not been for the revamping of, and the close filtering-out of unhelpful comments on, the TV forum and the comments which show up in the forum.

I wish I could have expressed my logic here more cogently, with fewer grammatical errors, but, unfortunately, I am limited to the use of my single index finger to type, and the enlarged keyboard app prohibits me from seeing more than one line, as I type.

In conclusion, I must readily admit that TV has become a new and improved version of its former self. This is good.

However, there is also something to be said for the value of nostalgia.

And, to me, the Farang Pub will last forever.

(I am now down to 15% battery power on this old phone. I would have liked to share more, otherwise.)

I do know you know just how much I have appreciated your lucidly written incisive retorts, thoughtfully uploaded here during this past decade.

You seem so very able, when cutting through some of my Krappola, in shedding light upon the hidden gems below the layers of my poor comments.

Honestly speaking, I have just about worn out my right index finger in my search for my next TRUEST post on TV.

“All you have to do is write one true sentence.”

Thanks, Man...

You do my a great honor, just deigning to throw me a few retorts, a few crusts.

Take care.

Wishing you and yours well, as usual.
