True.  Putin is using Ukraine to confront NATO.  Putin didn't need to confront NATO during the Trump administration since Trump was doing a fine job of destroying NATO on his own.

The Ukraine would be better off , to stay as a neutral state between east and west.

Putin wrong? the US , before in Cubactrises, risk a nuclear war, bcs of weapons stationed at their neighbourhood. I  twnat to know if cuba joins the eastern alliance today and want to station weapons their, want to see reaction of tthe US.

It is so clear, that Nato wants to extend terretory in the Ukraine, thats the main reason. Whats sure not possible.

just remember the lies of nato during the 90s , Nato dont extend to east PL,LT EST,LIT.....in 97 they broke their promisses.  Nato was anounced in the 90s  a stop of taking new members ,.....again broken promisses, Genscher, German foreign minister lies " we will never extend  to east "

and so on..........................................

I liked Trump, and would be happy him stay in this crisis ,bcs normaly its not a american problem, and he would see it like that.......

Biden is an a..h...... broken his words of a tax reform within 6 month in power and now heating up a war since weeks, history of biden shows , that he was a major figure  ( advisor ) to the irak war and other..... he loves war , and  at moment  can keep the publics eye away from the real problems developing in us and eu ( financially , inflation, depts and intrestrates at 0 )

its an old dangerous Grandpa playing a dangerous game, whats not in intresd of the public in usa and europe.

I do not defend Putin, but here hes right , that Nato must stay away from ukraine ,and the anto fullfill their promises " STOP EXTENTION OF NATO TERRETORY "

You actually expect farang strangers or even casual acquaintances to come to your aid in such a case? Where do you come from? Shangri-La?

Do you make a habit of sharing stories of your financial misfortunes with those in your vicinity?

Then why don't you just give it a spin? See how it goes instead of (again) deflecting it on me?

Try and find out how your mia's family likes you, how your mia noi's family likes you and the rest of the village too.

next time when a liberating army bringing democracy to us, please, let them do it in same way as it was in Prague. Instead of welcoming the missiles and hiding underground, we too would like to go out in streets and discuss with the tank men...

and this conflict will tie up the eastern alliance between russia and china  , what could lead to further escalation of world peace , and responsibilty for that  are our western native politicans.

we take putin out , he seeks new alliances, whats normal

and we would be far better off as europe , to work in peace together with russia ,as EQUAL partners and not traed the biggest country on earh as second class.

Utter nonsense. It assumes that the Thai response would be different to say, the Swedish response to such problems. This is your idea of a valid way to collect evidence? No wonder you believe the nonsense. I offer independently verifiable evidence, and you reply with nonsense that can't be independently verified.

Are we sure he sought? After the Dunkerque battle he ordered his armies back home to a great surprise (and disapproval) of his generals...

It's not Russia that's being treated as second glass but its government. Come to think of it, treating that kleptocracy as merely second class would be a judgement of great, if foolish, leniency.

Unless those armies were composed of amphibians, what would it matter where they were located?

America is a multiracial society and most Americans still support immigration. Just because you are obsessed with race as a kind of bond, that doesn't mean that most are.

What does that have to do with anything? I'm not American and never will be?

Also for what it's worth, I do support *intelligent* and *sensible* immigration, I'm absolutely not opposed to it as long as those would be immigrants are following the law and the proper immigration channels, with that being said the US definitely needs an immigration reform, one that makes sense like the one in Canada, it is far from perfect, but it is at least humane.

As for your comment about my alleged obsession about race, first of all, I wish you would stop trying to label me as a racist as your attempts to paint me as one are pathetic and baseless.

For what it's worth once again and as far as I'm concerned, there is only ONE race, it's called the Human race.

Since I can find no objectives indicators of Thai hostility to farangs, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume your reasons for weird and ludicrous "evidence" must be personal.

Go tell that to the guy who got beheaded with a sickle a month ago or so, also tell that to the woman who was raped, cut in pieces and left for dead in the woods in Phuket, Krabi or wherever that was.

As far as I'm concerned, we're done here.

Am I confused? Was it someone else who raised the issue of Caucasians in Asia and hostility towards them?

Let me quote you again:

We are only tolerated because we are bringing money into their economy, but they can only tolerate so much until their primal instincts resurface.

One needs to look at History, for us Caucasians it has never ended well in the land of the Asians.

Go and tell a mathematician about how you draw conclusions about the likelihood of being raped and murdered.

And you might also want to look up "confirmation bias".

I believe I said I was done but fine, I'll bite one last time.

1) Franco-Thai War - 1940-1941: Victory: Thailand. Result: Disputed territories in French Indochina ceded by France to Thailand.

2) Battle of Bataan - 1942: Victory: Japan. Result: Japanese victory.

3) Battle off Cape Engaño - 1944: Result: More than 1,000 sailors and aircrewmen of the Allied escort carrier units were killed.

4) First Indochina War - 1946-1954: Victory: Vietnam. Result: Departure of the French from Indochina.

5) Vietnam War - 1955-1975: Victory: Vietnam. Result: Withdrawal of U.S. coalition's forces from Vietnam in 1973.

And the list goes on and on.

So again in the CONTEXT of this thread's title, I'm afraid to state once more: One needs to look at History, for us Caucasians it has never ended well in the land of the Asians.

Now get lost.

Your examples are ridiculous. Unless you believe that Westerners currently living in Thailand are here to wage war against the locals. Do you believe that? Is that why you're in Thailand?

What is the "major challenge" as noted and underlined in the BBC article ?.

Exposing the faces of  useless A. Blinken,  clueless and gutless J. Biden,  Paper Tiger America ( wording by deceased Mao in old days )  are major Challenge to China ?

Old and smart president is OK,  but old and outdated president is not.

J. Biden is still seeing and thinking of the world 15 years ago while he was the Vice President.

But the world had moved forward is it is NO longer Unipolar Superpower any more.
