Any steam / sauna still open in Pattaya ?

Featured Replies

I visited last month and the place I usually go (iSPA - opposite top end of Soi 6) seemed to be closed down. I'm aware of Mari Jari in Jomtien but does anyone know of any currently open in Pattaya ? I'm back there next week so any help appreciated.

At least the sauna bar on Pratamnak Soi 6, as well as sands sauna at bottom of Pratamnak Soi 5 are open.

I think most saunas actually are open, but know for sure only those 2 as see them every day.

Train Resort on Sukhumvit, sauna/steam/warm pool (sometimes hot), cold pool/swimming pool/bar/restaurant 150 THB all day, cheap and cheerful, used often (and very good room rates I heard). VIP also on Sukhumvit but Na Jomtien end, large communal area, not tried it but heard good reports, and best of all Onsen on Thepprasit, opposite the wine shop. 300 for oldies, 500 otherwise, classic (?) Japanese. 1 outdoor properly hot pool, 4 hot Thai tubs, 1 very cold pool, 6 stone beds, 2 indoor hot pools, ie one whirlpool, and 1 bubble, steam and sauna. Massage expensive but probably very good, and resto. Worth every baht IMHO (as an oldie!). Also, very good showers and pampering areas. Not shy? Can go naked! Not mixed, ladies next door.

Many thanks for these helpful replies. They all seem to be closed in Central Pattaya so I'll bus it down to Jomtien and try some of these suggestions.

Ladies next door is not a real sauna for me....

If everybody is clothed, swimsuits, trunks, bikinis, towels, whatever, they share, in my experience. But I don't think you'll find a mixed naked sauna in Thailand, or at least in Pattaya. Tell me I'm wrong!

P Plus Hotel, if it's open, had a decent gym, but a bit shambolic steam and sauna rooms, and a pool. Very central, off Soi Pothole (or Soi xxxthole if you like).

I even don't like the 'clothed' saunas.

So where do you go for your all in naked experience?

Q sauna next to rompho market in jomtien 2nd road also open this morning.

Europe....

Well that's very helpful. I'll remember that next I'm wandering through the ruins of WWIII.

Saunas will remain open there. The Russians love them too much....

So many naked sweaty asses sharing the same wooden seat......no thanks.....

Mari Jari seems to be open with the steam room closed. Can anyone confirm?

They put towels on the benches in Onsen sauna, and you can always sit on your own one.

Europe....

Finland to be specific, in other places less common in normal saunas.

To wear something in sauna there is about comparable to girls  wearing a Mao suit in agogo...
