You obviously don't have an appreciation of how to treat "school yard" bullies. If you cannot find resources on-line, I can supply a suitable link.

 

Nevertheless, Putin has said that he would only use the nuclear option if Russia's sovereignty is threatened. And that scenario has never been contemplated.

One aspect being missed is that the decree Putin signed did not include the words partial mobilization so this first announcement of 300,000 is just that. If needed he will then go onto call up more and the Russians know this.

 

Not that this is going to change much, they still lack the necessary equipment, training and command structure, more cannon fodder and more deaths created by Putin is all thats going to happen.

it always amazes me how politicians can lie using a straight face.... last night was watching UN security meeting and Lavrov speech let me "speechless" with so many lies and misleading information, however he did make a point to justify the war/invasion of Ukraine by Russia and it had nothing to do with Ukraine joining the EU and NATO, the real reason for the war it's because Ukraine didn't want the schools to teach Russian language and/or use Russian books, he claimed the Ukraine was being racist by not allowing Ukrainian kids to learn Ruskoff and all because the government in Kyiv became an totalitarian authoritarian Nazi type and that was a risk for Russia..... Apparently Putin is going to try to do what Stalin did in WWII: throw massive numbers of soldiers into the battle and win just by sheer numbers. But the sentiment back then was completely different, as it was clear to all Russians that the very existence of Russia was at stake if they didn’t manage to defeat the Germans, so the willingness to fight and possibly die for the motherland was very high.

This time around, it is all about the megalomania of Putin and his clique of fascists, and it’s quite obvious that the willingness to fight is not exactly there, as we witness many Russians fleeing their country so as not to become cannon fodder.
