TP Insurance requirement dropped from 50K USD to 20K USD but the insurance premium remains the same.

Featured Replies

I noticed that the insurance premium has remained the same even though the requirements dropped. Anybody has noticed a reduction in premium due to reduction in requirements? Visit to Thailand is becoming more and more expensive. Increased airfare and more time (due to air space closure of Ukraine) + insurance + SHA+ hotel for one night + pre departure RT-PCR test. What else?

Less cover + same premiums = Thai business ethics

Everything is about money and not ethics. By right, the premium should be reduced.

The reduction is meaningless except for the insurance companies who have now less liability. It has no impact on travellers.

The requirements has dropped but maybe the insurance has the same coverage as before? Maybe look for another insurance package with less coverage and you might find it cheaper.
