Biden has now given Ukraine everything they needs except jets, and the kitchen sink, so come on Ukraine and push them back then out of your country. And don't worry the world will help you rebuild Ukraine.

Agreed, Biden seems willing to fight to the last Ukrainian.

Here in Pattaya, I've always found Russian people to be rude, ill mannered, abrasive and unfriendly to non-Russians. That said, I would hate to see these people end up homeless and out on the street. One thought that occurs to me is that street crime would go up. Another thought is that their own government really doesn't care about them, and for this fact alone, I feel pity for them.

Time will reveal their fate!

Well Putin obviously doesn't care about the conscripts he's sending to Ukraine to be cannon fodder, and shooting the ones that decide to go back. But perhaps many of these Russkie expat types are higher status.

That's not really fair.

This reflects the current decision (which may change) of Biden and NATO that direct conflict with Russia is too high a risk for total nuclear war.

murdering cowards  you got a lot of blood on your hands Vlad

He's swimming in it but it's obvious that he doesn't care at all. He's trying to give Stalin a run for his money.

Financial sanctions, inability to use credit cards, and lack of bank transfer ability is what has caused the big problems. It's odd that this issue wasn't mentioned.

Really strange. That they cannot afford bar girl services now might be seen as a humanitarian catastrophe by the average Russian, contrary to the necessary “special operation” in Ukraine.

Does the Russian embassador realise the CNN BBC NBC Facebook  aren't blocked in Thailand

Then, it's good that nobody gets confused by other sources telling sometimes quite a different story...

Ukraine people fight with their hearts, unlike the Russians who fight with the fear of Putin.

Yes, absolutely, but Ukraine remains the underdog against a much bigger power willing to use civilian targeting, total leveling of cities, even chemical and nuclear weapons.

Ahh,   brianthainess,  Tomikhin is the Russian Ambassador, maybe he is from Russia and not Ukraine?

I do hope that the Russian in Thailand are able to get back to Russia soon, and get the help that they

need.

is possible. for them to walk to Russia.  via china.

A walking tour of China, I don't know.  I think they should have the choice between the walking tour of Mariupol or the walking tour of Lion Country.

Who is doing something for the Ukrainians here???

One problem of course is the 500+ planes on lease stranded in Russia that Putin has seized tearing up the Canadian agreement of airlines being able to reclaim them without borders rendering them useless for external flights outside of Russia as they would be impounded just about anywhere on arrival ????

... well well, these machines should start dropping from the (russky only) skies in due time then without proper parts & service.

Just let them shove 'em & put it on their growing tab, plus interest.

Evgeny Tomikhin

Evgeny Tomikhin:

Are there any similarities between Russia and Thailand?

I think the main similarities are good kind-hearted people and the rich national cuisine......ambassador and comedian.

He also made clear that Russia was not fighting an all-out war and that its forces were only targeting military infrastructure in Ukraine while attempting to avoid civilian casualties.

First learn how to spell your most important word - losing

if you think Russia is winning in the image of the world and the economic impact it’s having on their people at home, think again….just wait when thousands of dead soldiers don’t return home to their families….a brain drain is currently happening in Russia

Russia is losing (note) and will lose regardless of occupation…it is and will be an eventually clone of North Korea’s economy - a country isolated from the world…totally dependent on China for survival

Putin’s single decision to invade is the beginning of the end of his regime….he is toast

I hate the spelling police!!

Armchair quarterbacking?  What exactly is it that biden can do that would satisfy his critics?...damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.  I for one am glad we have a sane president that does not think he knows more about everything than all the people around him and is willing to listen to the opinions of dozens of allies rather than just shooting off his mouth.

Well, at this point there is strong majority support among Americans to do more that indeed risks direct war with Russia. As Putin continues with his mass slaughter of civilians war crimes reality tv show, it's going to become much harder for Biden and Nato to not go further.

We have seen the brutal reality of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine. We have watched Russian troops target civilians and massacre families. We’ve also witnessed the heroism of the Ukrainian military and its people as they bravely push back, defending their nation and their freedom.
