Popular Post Socheng
I got STV with 1 covid extension which ends on 28 march on my Hong Kong passport. So I decided to go to my first visa run to Cambodia. I have read a lot of people who were denied entry or questioned by the IO for a long time. So I did prepare extra documents for them. Documents to go to Cambodia 1. E-visa (2 copies at least) 36usd for 30 days 2. COVID-19 certificate hard copy 3. Hotel booking confirmation ➢ no need insurance ➢ no more Pre-flight PCR test At Cambodia immigration, they just take a look at my e visa and I am good to go. I am eligible to have the visa exemption entry to Thailand but I prefer to get the TR for safety. Applying TR in Cambodia ➢ Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months ➢ Visa application form ➢ 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm photograph ➢ Evidence of travel in and out of Thailand (i.e. air ticket receipt paid in full) ➢ Evidence of adequate finance for the entire duration of stay in Thailand (at least 1,000 USD per person or 2,000 USD per family) ➢Copy hotel reservation for 1st day ➢ 40 usd single entry for 60 days i went on Monday morning and collected on Wednesday afternoon. I don’t use an agent and no questions asked by the embassy staff. I see some people are rejected but non sure they are apply which type of the visa. Entry to Thailand ➢ Thailand pass ➢ Certificate of vaccination ➢ Pre flight 72 hours PCR test (for travelers before 31/3) ➢ Insurance ➢ SHA++ hotel confirmation Again, the officer just take a look at my passport and no questions asked. Some people in front of me are questioned by the officer “why you stay so long in Thailand?” “Do you have a flight out ticket to your home country.” Thank you fall for your help and I hope my experience and the above checklist will help you. Last question is do I need to file TM30 again after I leave test and go hotel? 8

Yes, since you have entered Thailand on a new visa, you are required to submit a confirmation TM30 for your normal place of residence.
TaoNow
I have repeatedly entered Thailand on a variety of visas, (tourist, non-O, non-B, etc.) but never changed my (Immo-reported) address in Bangkok since the beginning. Over many decades. And, I have never filed a TM30 form. What am I missing?

At a guess you might also apply for 30 day extension at some point. Prior to attending immigration for extension you should obtain a TM30 receipt from hotel to show immigration if they request it. No urgency. BTW... Excellent report. Your post will assist others. Thanks.

BKKTRAVELER
I'm very glad to see more reports from members, they are most helpful. Thank you for taking the time to detail everything and happy your trip went well.
Popular Post MrJ2U
This report will be popular. It's to bad you have to leave the country. They could make a lot of money changing arcaic laws and making it simpler to get tourist visas here.

I live in Cambodia and now it is so easy to enter (as you quite rightly quote), but the return to Thailand is still complex and bureaucratic. For reference, Cambodian e-visas are no longer mandatory. One can get a visa on entry at any border crossing - air, land or sea. No Covid-19 insurance. No test on arrival. LoudHailer
Thank you SoCheng for your skilfully written report. I have taken a copy, mindful that re-entry rules into Thailand might be all but eliminated on 1st July. Only then will we see inbound tourist arrivals climb in meaningful numbers to restore the kingdom to prosperity and to put smiles back into ~ 'The Land of Smiles.' ????
geisha
Hi, 2 questions please. How long did it take to get your Thai Pass, did you apply while in Thailand or Cambodia ?! And did they ask you for an onward flight ? Good report, thanks.
AgMech Cowboy
@Socheng Thanks for the report. I wish I would have seen it earlier, but I've been 'behind' in reviewing my ASEANNOW emails. I doubt you'll read this in time as I go tomorrow morning to the Phnom Penh embassy, but... How long was the line? Were there a lot of people applying? Answer this if you don't mind even if I'll miss it. There will be others who will appreciate the info.
blny
Question, what means: COVID-19 certificate hard copy? Yellow book?

It means you need to provide them with a photocopy (paper copy), you cannot show it on your phone and etc. In the case of having been vaccinated in Thailand, you don't need the yellow book. They accept a photocopy of the vaccination certificate you received from the hospital when you were vaccinated. Take the original with you, but hand over a photocopy.
