Thai police smashing up the evidence in the far south

Naew Na reported on an event at the Phatthalung provincial police station yesterday to celebrate a successful crackdown on street racers.

 

In the last month 5 bikes have been seized and 250 illegal exhausts were gathered.

 

Police in the area in Thailand's far south had been out trying to stop races mostly held on Friday to Sunday.

After the speeches were made about the perils of street racing on motorcycles and the excellence in general of the Royal Thai Police, a steamroller did the job of flattening those pesky and now silenced exhausts.

????  They are busy fixing Hwy 1 up north.

A better idea would be to attach a hose to the exhausts and put it up the area of the bike owner where the sun does not shine.

Logically reselling the bikes is more appropriate since it can recover the costs of the operation, and of course line certain pockets since individuals involved will get a percentage of the sale price. The exhausts can't be resold because they are illegal hnce they are publicly destroyed.

Yeah, but then we'd also lose a bunch of expats around the country.  The ones that claim their bike is safer because you can hear them coming from 3 miles away.

The bikes couldn't be sold by the police, either, as that would be illegal because the bikes belong to the owners.

Road rollers are still commonly referred to as steamrollers, regardless of what propels them.
