Brazilian Renault...?

Nope. need another clue?

Clue: The vehicle was powered by the Villiers Ltd 324 cc two-stroke motor with drive to the front wheels. The motor's stated output was 12 kW, giving a performance reported as almost nil and drive was via a motorcycle gearbox and chain drive. Due to the gearbox design, reversing the car required stopping the engine, then restarting using the electramatic system which spun the engine in reverse.

2 clues:

It was manufactured by the UK branch of a major US car maker, so not an Opel.

The model was modernized in the 1950s and took a very different appearance, but kept the same name.

taxexile, could you give us a clue, such as the continent of origin? It almost looks like a Bentley, but more likely a Lincoln or Packard from the 1930's, with room for a big straight 8 under that looooong hoooood.

zamps car is a lancia gamma coupe , lovely.

the car i posted is american , manufactured in 1931 , and there is a V-16 under the bonnet , but it is not a cadillac, lincoln or packard.

the company went out of business during the depression.
