Region 1 police announced the arrest of three men, part of a gang smuggling marijuana across the border (from Laos, suggests ASEAN NOW) bound for the central region.

Seksan, 35, Kriangkrai, 30 and Kamthorn, 36, were arrested at a resort in Beung Samphan district of Phetchabun in Thailand's NE region.

A van and a pick-up and 1,000 kilos of marijuana were all taken into evidence.

The case was the expanding of the inquiry after a man called Kamphol was arrested with 649 kilos of the drug in Wang Noi, Ayutthaya on February 3rd.

Police had been following the gang's activities and became aware of the movement of drugs between Lomsak and Saraburi, reported INN.

A pick-up was leading the pair on lookout and the van with the drugs was coming up behind.

The men had dropped into a resort for the night. They admitted everything.

Should be totally banned from smoking until Thais can learn to live with alcohol and cut road deaths by 80%

There's a ton of trouble there for sure.

Don't you get tired of writing exactly the same things? I don't like people smoking around me either; but you are overreacting in a ridiculous manner.

Thais learn to live with alcohol? What a pompous statement!
