Friend of mine owns a bar in pratamnak was approached by police and advised he can stay open till 12am

Similarly many bar owners especially for the mancity game last week were allow to stay open

No money was requested that i know of.

The continuation of any stupid restrictions is not because of covid its control

All waiting on dessert by the looks.

Looking at the photos in this thread really makes me appreciate being out here in the rice paddies of Isaan. Yes, we have a couple of Farang bars, within 20km, which I frequent a few (daylight) hours per week but with a much better atmosphere than I'm seeing here!

Yes that was my understanding but the news item does not actually say what time they were "visited" - was it after 11 or 12?

was that a typo - let me clear it up for you

"who they pay"

the whole thing is absurdity x10

people are getting sick and tired of restrictions - time to end this madness

Unfortunately they seem to like it this way and I believe it’s for a long time to come

It was a buffet in the back ????.  No food allowed in the digesting area where only after dinner drinks were served.

Well it says so on the wall but there seems to be an absence of dancers and an excess of light from how I remember them.

just come back from a few nights in Pattaya - had no trouble finding bars & clubs - sorry , restaurants - that would supply us with alcohol until at least midnight (Treetown area) - and then 'closed' smaller bars (by invitation) open until at least 4

As has been said before - it all depends on the bar owner, & who they know

Further to my previous comment...

One bar we went to on Tuesday (Pattaya Beach Club) stopped serving at 11pm, however this same bar was serving drinks until 12:30 am on Thursday night (-Friday morning).

back to the :"good old days" !  they will NEVER RETURN  !

The good old days, for me at least, were back in the late 90's early 00's.

They have been sucking the fun out of the place since then.

Stuff like this is comical and pointless. All about extorting money as usual.

There appeared to be a presumed extension for the official Songkran days!
