April 20, 20223 yr I am flying to Glasgow with Emirates early next month via Dubai. I know nothing is guaranteed. But can I be reasonably confident that there will no cancelations? Has anyone done this flight recently? Anything I should beware of?
April 20, 20223 yr Í don't have any experience for these flights. But one idea: check the (daily?) flights (departures and arrivals) of Dubai to Glasgow and vice versa. Then you will have results of real time!
April 20, 20223 yr Emirates have been extremely reliable - but after booking it pays to always double check closer to the time. While Qatar have also been reliable they have shifted flight times slightly and jiggled around planes (which means if you are expecting slightly better A380 Eco seats or a Q-Suite you maybe disappointed).
April 20, 20223 yr Dubai-Glasgow (DXB - GLA). The Emirates flights on 17th, 18th, 19th all in time. Today departed in time. Bangkok-Dubai not even worth checking. Will not be cancelled. The mid east airlines are the "winners" of the current airspace closures. Almost unaffected while other airlines struggle with long detours.
April 20, 20223 yr emirates are very reliable. It's the biggest airline. Even if somehow they cant take you glasgow, they will take you London and get connecting flight

April 20, 20223 yr Wife flew LHR - Dubai - BKK, all went very smoothly and on time - at the start of last month. I believe the layover was 2hrs 40 - not enough to look at all the shops apparently ????
