Daily News Thai Caption: 500 million baht boost

 

Daily News reported that Thai celebrities from the worlds of music and YouTube flocked to Koh Samui in the south of Thailand and continued to do so to escape the heat in the country.

 

The Tourism Authority of Thailand said that Songkran brought in 500 million baht to the local economy.

 

All flights into the island on Bangkok Airways were full with many foreign tourists arriving.

 

Hotels were also full.

Among the well-known visitors was Way Thaitanium a Thai hip hop artist, Nana Raibina, Dome - Pakorn the singer and Stamp - Apiwach. YouTuber Dr Sunil and his family also came. 

 

The celebs continued to arrive yesterday with YouTubers Bie The Ska and Geno The Snack arriving at the airport.

 

Bie said he was attracted by the beauty of the island and its music and this was his fifth visit, while Geno said this was his first time.

 

He was keen to sample the seaside and food telling reporters that Koh Samui people were all lovely.

Now every idi.. with a youtube channel can become a celebrity.

So its now don't rush its full then ????

Next thing one of the celebs will be pictured eating a Mama cup noodle or something random and send sales through the roof.

Yes....its the only place in Thailand that has all year snow.

Except they were here to perform music or dj on phangan and samui ! ????

I wonder how many of the tourists recognized any of those celebrities.

I guess it must be frustrating for those famous people when they are treated like nobodies.
