Something really cool is happening not far from Hua Hin from this Sunday (May 1)

The world’s first hydrogen powered catamaran will dock in Pranburi as part of a six year zero emissions voyage around the world.

The 30 metre long Energy Observer commenced its journey from Saint Malo in northern Brittany almost two years ago.

The aim of the voyage is to prove the decarbonisation of the maritime sector is possible and that the planet’s oceans can be crossed using solar, wind, tidal power and hydrogen.

The vessel is capable of creating its own hydrogen fuel by sucking up seawater while it sails at speeds of a little over 7 knots.

it's one time investment, no fuel cost and you can virtually sail forever...why not have it?? Booking are open!! 10% discount to first 50 customers...only 10k baht booking fees...DM me for bank details!!

Mmm me thinks normal sails would be a lot faster than that, and more eco friendly, with a small eclectic motor that can be used for docking, one solar panel and wind turbine, sorted.

I'm guessing that Pak Nam Pran is the port.  The town of Pran Buri is not on the coast.

I agree with that saying....I had the same experience some time ago.
