INN reported that Pol Lt-Col Arut Saphanon - the cop in charge of Pattaya's traffic - went to Walking Street yesterday to reorganise the area.

This came after the authorities reversed the decision to stop vehicles using the famed street.

Walking Street is now back to pedestrians only after the pandemic saw few tourists and many businesses shut.

The media said that PM Prayuth Chan-ocha had now ordered the reopening of Thailand on May 1st and the scrapping of the Test and Go scheme.

Arut said that Pattaya's chief of police Pol Col Kulachart Kulachai expects the move to result in more tourists at the resort.

He found that 90% of tourists and businesses were complying and carried out PR to advise the others about the change in Walking Street's status.

In addition he has arranged for a new place for motorcycle taxis in the area to park.

The business will be back to normal when the ladies will return in full force

Perhaps they will be swarming back from the Burmese casinos where many of them ended up whilst Prayut's restrictions were/still are in place.

I was told by a manager they were told to close at 11 recently as Police from Bangkok were down.

Back to 12 officially from Monday so only temporary.

The ladies will not return until the tourists come back, and the tourists will no come back until the ladies return, and no one will come back until hospitality is properly open.   ????

Well, I am here and there are plenty of ladies in town probably more then tourists who want their company.

They are packed in like sardines in the popular area massage shops, Soi 6 and WS spots.

Lack of girls is not an issue not sure why some have myopic opinions on this.

Also, WS is a hazard area the street itself is still in poor condition missing and unstable tiles and dug up sidewalk areas exist.  I avoid it for several reason, just be careful if you go after a few drinks twisting and ankle is a possibility.

Those girls will be spread out across more bars and nightclubs when Pattaya is properly open.

How much money do you think the girls are making now?  Don't you think they are messaging their friends back home telling them not to bother coming back just yet?

I thought that highly odd to do just 2 days before official 12 o clock openings allowed.

Again, still not nearly what an 'open' country would be with these child like bed times enforced like 12pm.

Why is it not fully open/ allowed with no bar time restrictions?  or whatever they were pre-covid?

How long are they gonna hold onto phase 1 of the plandemic??

Oh so now I can go to a bar and just drink until closing with girls to 'ave a laugh with

Nah Thought not. Having walking st. one way was good to do a drive by, it's not as if there are to many pedestrians to warrant a change yet.

Until Prayuth relinquishes his power over the people.
