I Voted Today
I *was* registered, but the state of Texas suspended me, and now I have to fly to Texas to clean it up. So, that's another vote against Ted Cruz. -

I Voted Today
Would have thought that with the clear and present danger of trump you always speak of, you would have been registered and ready to go. Guess it wasn't that urgent huh. Sort of like Biden calling Trump the worst human being in the face of the known universe, and then call him up to say oh I feel bad that my boys tried to shoot you and Missed- 1

Three more prominent Republicans ‘put country over party’ and endorse Harris
Even a low information Trumper may pause and ponder why so many Republicans are endorsing Harris this time. And why so many Trump appointees won't vote for him in 2024. -

Guys, do you cheat on your Thai wife/girlfriend?
I thought about taking it. How long have you been taking it, and what's it like? Do you have any side effects from it like fatigue, nausea or headaches? Are you using Truvada or Descovy? I'm pretty sure they offer Descovy at the Thai Red Cross anonymous clinic in Bangkok for a price of 1,650 Baht for 30 tablets. My understanding is that PreP is a lower dose and a less expansive regiment of drugs used in the one a day antiretroviral treatment given to people who are HIV positive. Truvada can also be heavy on the kidneys, but Descovy is much less so I believe. -

Air conditioning is effecting my sleep
It could well be mould in his air-conditioning system. This is not widely known, but is far from uncommon. A good place to find more info about this is at the Reddit Mould group: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToxicMoldExposure/ -

Air conditioning is effecting my sleep
Something to consider is mould i.e. you have mould in your environment. It might not be visible, but if it's there, and especially if it's been there a long time, it plays havoc with your health. One of the classic signs of mould in your environment is that you have sleep issues which resolve when you are away from your home / usual place of sleeping, and then you sleep just fine. -

AIS fiber 2gb connection (symmetric fiber) came with a 1gbs port on the ONT! How to change?
Thank you. I think you are absolutely correct, it's 2 gb down 1gb up, sorry for the confusion. I didn't know about the byod system, thank you so much, I'll get that sorted. For those that are reading this thread in the future though, if you aren't fussed about what hardware is in your home, they also offer extra devices to create a mesh. it's not as good as pro gear, not even as good as ASUS ai mesh of course, but it's pretty decent. And it's relatively well priced. Thank you to everyone who contributed in this thread, very interesting stuff! -

SSRIs In Thailand
I ended up taking it for only four days and then stopped taking it. The side effects were making me sick. Also, the issue that was giving me a lot of anxiety is mostly resolved now. So I don't really need to take anything at this point anyway. -

Returning to Thailand from Mexico and bringing my mid sized dog
It's much the same for cats. As long as you have the paperwork in order, there's no quarantine. (This assumes we are talking about a regular domestic pet cat.) Where are you bringing the cat from? Depending on the regulations of the country and the airline, you can take cats and small dogs in the cabin. The size and weight limit depends on the airline, but it's usually around 7-8kg with the carrier, with space for them to turn around. It has to fit under the seat in front of you, but as long as it's soft-sided and will squish a bit, the airlines are usually OK about it being a bit oversized. The airline is more likely to be careful about brachycephalic breeds, like Persians, in terms of making sure they have enough space. I've flown with cats in the cabin a few times, and it was fine. They have to stay in the carrier the whole time, but they pretty much just sleep. I've also flown with a dog in the hold, and that was fine, too. He found the move pretty stressful, but I think he was better in the hold than the cabin even if he had been small enough. He wouldn't have liked all the noise and people/carts moving around him. The hold isn't cold storage. If they have live animals in there, it will be kept between 15c-20c (59-68f). If you have them with you, I'd guess you still have to go to the animal quarantine station by baggage claim #8 to get your import permit and pay the fee before going through customs, but I don't know that for sure. -

Does anyone have experience using the Amazon Prime Visa card for purchases in Thailand?
I can't use my wife's bank card to buy flights because she no longer uses the phone number associated with the account and can't get SMS messages to verify her identity. So I need to use credit card. but worry that I will be charged a lot. I read that Prime Visa doesn't charge fees. I wonder if the currency exchange rate is proper. Can anybody recommend this card to use in Thailand?
