Mercedes-Benz will start delivering its EQS electric sedan to Vietnamese customers by October.

A representative of the company said the electric vehicle will make an appearance at Vietnam Auto Show, which will be held this October in Ho Chi Minh City.

It will be delivered to customers around this time, the person added, but the selling price has yet to be disclosed.

Mercedes EQS is the second most luxurious electric vehicle sold in Vietnam after Porsche Taycan.

Buyers will get a charging station installed at their home, besides being able to charge the car at authorized showrooms.

This is the first phase of the carmaker’s plan to distribute electric cars in Vietnam.

It may construct public charging stations and DC fast charging systems, having witnessed the potential for this kind of vehicle in the country.

In the U.S. market, Mercedes offers two options for the vehicle: the basic EQS 450+ includes a 329-horsepower engine with a maximum range of 770 kilometers, and the higher EQS 580 4Matic with a 516-horsepower engine.

On a DC fast charger, the EQS can charge from 10 to 100 percent in only 31 minutes.

At home, with an AC charger, it can reach an empty-to-full charge in around 11 hours.
