Beware ThailandPass.com Website - Posing As Official Thai Pass Website

Featured Replies

I just got scammed by a website posing to be the official Thailand website to get you Thai Pass using the website thailandvisa.com.  When you search for Thai Pass Application, this website is the first to come up and they look official but even if you proceed without clicking on the 'Premium Service' link, they end of taking all your information and then charging you $79.99 to process your application whereas you can go to the official Thai Pass website and apply for free with a much cleaner interface - FREE, FAST AND EFFICIENT.

Fortunately, unlike the official site that allows you to upload 'pdf' files that the required medical insurance company will send you, thailandvisa.com cannot open and use 'pdf' files and contacts you by email to send them my email and NOT go back to the Thai Pass site.

In very small print, they tell you about the free official site but you can easily be hoodwinked as I was. I got suspicious when I got an email from a person with a very Caucasian sounding name and requested my money back but will probably have to file a complaint with my credit card company. Hopefully, they will refund my money but now I have to get a new credit card number as the one I used is now compromised
