Tragedy in Korat: Man claims his wife "grabbed the steering wheel" during an argument - she dies at scene

Pho Klang police in Muang district of Nakhon Ratchasima were called after a four door Isuzu pick-up collided head on with a power pole on the local road of Mitraphap Highway.

 

The accident happened yesterday evening between kilometer markers 133 and 134 in Khok Kruat sub-district outside a Mitsubishi showroom.

 

Attaphol, 31, from Chokchai district suffered head and leg injuries to both legs and after first aid was taken to Debaratana Hospital Ratchasima. 

 

Deuan, 36, from Sung Nern, was given CPR but she died at the scene. 

 

Attaphol said that they were a couple who had a two month old child.

They both worked at Chert Chai Car Honda - he a mechanic and she in the accounts section. 

 

They were going home when an argument developed and he claimed that she grabbed the wheel propelling them into the power pole.

 

ASEAN NOW would like to add a caveat to the story; Siam Rath did not make it 100% clear who was driving but we believe that it was the husband.

Irrespective of the true story behind this sad event the real tragedy is that the 2 month old child has lost it's mother.

The police don't investigate based on reading between the lines of Siam Rath's report.  What do you see "between the lines"?

The first picture. You can see two impact marks on the windscreen folding the glass outwards.

If you look at the windscreen there are 2 indentations where the driver & passenger collided with it.

That's pretty obvious, no seatbelts. Phone would in the worst case make a small dent.

Said to BIL a couple of weeks back   ''Why don't you and SIL ever wear seatbelts in your Truck ?''  Answer was ''Never worn them and never will as they are dangerous '' !   Right; that's settled that then !!

Well this is a sad story, and seeing the 2 impact spots on the windshield is

pretty obvious. I am unable to read between the lines, and I have seen

many people argue all over the world when they are driving.

No, that was not stated, you're just speculating, you have no idea what happened inside that vehicle.

From the amount of damage it looks like quite a low speed accident  in which you  would be non fatal if wearing a seat belt.
