Health officials "concerned" about reopening of bars/clubs - promise more checks to ensure compliance

Thailand's authorities were out in force last night as bars and clubs were officially allowed to open and serve alcohol up to midnight.

 

But they were determined to make sure that Covid-19 cases remained low and that everyone was following the rules. 

 

Visiting the clubs in Soi Ekamai (Sukhumvit 63) in Bangkok were the MopH's rep Dr Kiatphoom Wongjarit and the BMA's Khajit Chachawanich.

 

Dr Kiatphoom told Siam Rath that he was stil concerned about the possible spread of Covid-19 and stated that lots of places were still not following the latest rules to the letter.

Despite ATK tests being done on staff and customers.

 

But he was trying not to be too heavy handed saying that businesses must be supported as the nightlife industry continued on the path to full reopening.

 

But he cautioned that establishments not complying with the regulations would be warned and closed if there were large numbers of cases.

 

He said that information centers were in place to advise businesses about the serving of alcohol, not sharing glasses and the 12 pm closure order.

 

He promised more checks on an ongoing basis.

They better look at what occurred in Pattaya this past weekend with the Creamfields EM music festival.  The crowds could not be contained and kept in their seats, turned into an all out Rave with the VIP section chugging down the free Chang and then passing them onwards to others.....Party time can not be controlled.

these people need to get a dose of reality, the world has turned a corner, people are fed up to the back teeth of excessive stupid rules and those that want to keep this cluster going

Covid is far from over as a virus, it is still infecting over a hundred thousand daily still.  However, It is over as far as the people wanting to continue on with the closures and restrictions.

Hypocrites. Night club here in Southern Thailand had 2 functions last month wit 600 to 800 people present in a confined area. No masks, dancing, drinking etc......

Fer cryin' out loud, they've been open for months now and cases/deaths are on the decline. Enough is enough! Let them open up fully, end the Thai Pass, and watch tourism rebound overnight.

I couldn't be concerned less. Haven't been to "entertainment venues" in years. Instead, I frequent "restaurants" quite regularly.

Indians. Twice last week in two different bars, one group of 4 and one of 5 each ordered one drink and the appropriate number of straws. They were shown the door. These are the high end tourist the Government hopes will save them.

Bars and restaurants are concerned about the mental health of health officials, who seem obsessed with ruining their livelihoods, over highly subjective covid related restrictions, even though the numbers are dropping significantly.

 

When will the government sponsored terror stop?

With 1,426 covid related deaths worldwide yesterday, I would not consider that a big threat. An average of 178,000 people die daily, from something. How many of those people who died of Covid were old and infirm? How many had other conditions?

 

Time to consider it endemic and get on with our lives. Scrap the masks. Scrap the restrictions. Scrap the Thailand pass. Scrap the fear and paranoia. Let's man up and behave like adults.

This recognition could've easily been coined 2-2.5 years ago. 

The false and continued narratives have been deeply accepted by most. 

Almost impossible to recover from.......once the seed was planted.

I would guess well over 90% have bought the narrative, hook, line and sinker. Without questioning any of it. It is an astonishing thing to witness. Why wouldn't we question the government, the FDA, the CDC, the WHO and Big Pharma? Are they somehow noble and truthful, all of a sudden?

1) It's no longer Covid 19, it's Omicron

 

2) It's nothing more than a mild flu

 

3) The entire family and lots of friends have had it, no one went to the hospital, some paracetamol and isolate for a week, more like a head cold.

 

Enough scaremongering, move on after you've had a drink, oh that's right you probably don't drink or have a life.

Please continue, tell us all that its symptoms wasn't more than a head cold, that's what we all had, and all the people that I know, same same, the worst part about it was the headaches that would come and go, nothing that Paracetamol couldn't handle, and of course the eyes being a little sensitive to light.

 

The above said, if I was employed, I could have worked easily as I have had far worse than this "mild flu", so it's going to be around for decades, let it rip I say and let go of the scaremongering !
