They have banned the drivers from driving outside the country.

Maybe that will change.

Current export restrictions right now are self inflicted

On the border means they don't have to leave the country, right?

How can the trains and trucks travelling daily between Ukraine and Poland operate without a driver?

Ukraine exports first grain by train to Europe

One of the logistical difficulties is that Ukraine's rail runs on a different gauge to Poland and Europe so it needs to be off loaded once out of Ukraine, hence one of the reasons why grain silos are going to be built on the borders.

To say its self inflicted is misleading and false.

They won't allow Ukrainian men to leave the country - that's doing to severely limit transportation.

I guess they're using foreign drivers.

Of course they do for essential reasons, there are many exceptions, full list in the link:

- drivers who are reserved for international cargo transportation, transportation for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, medical cargo and humanitarian aid cargoes, in accordance with the established procedure;

Do you mean that in the sense that Ukrainians are foreigners to you?

I mean non Ukranians - likely Polish nationals if they're driving to Poland.

For sure people are struggling to export goods due to movement restrictions.

Yes there is a war on and many train depots have been destroyed along with many roads unsafe to travel, actually 24 railway stations have also been destroyed and a few massive grain silo's infact Ukraine's second largest grain silo for export was totally destroyed by Russian missiles last week.
