need simple (and free) 3D modelling software

My task is simple.

I need to show a potential supplier the details for a countertop made from solid surface material.

The sink will be an undermount from the same material and should be seamlessly joined to the counter.

The supplier shows examples of this work on their website.

I've talked to local (CM) suppliers, HomiKitch and Modernform.  They cannot produce what we want.

The difficulty seems to be finding a supplier for the sink.  Modernform seems to be the sole distributor for LG Hi-Macs in Thailand but they don't import the sinks.

My contact at the company speaks English fairly well, but doesn't seem to have any fabrication knowledge or vocabulary.

We're in CM and they're in BKK.

A picture is worth.....

Can anyone recommend some software for this task?

Mac software is preferred but I have a VM to run Windows apps.

The best SW in my opinion is SketchUp, I am running it on snow leopard but it has versions that run on almost all Mac OS versions as well a a web version.

However for the solid surface counter and sink there is a supplier in the CDC in Bangkok, or at least there was last time SWMBO and I visited. They certainly had a verity of sinks built into work tops.

We decided on granite for our kitchen as it was significantly cheaper even with a sink that was about 20k

We went to CDC once but unfortunately we didn't have much time and it was not well staffed in the middle of the pandemic.

The biggest problem finding materials in Thailand is that I cannot speak Thai so I cannot do a web search in Thai either.

To save time I just used my many decades old drafting skills to draw top and side views by hand.

When my days are no longer filled with selecting and sourcing house fittings, I can use SketchUp for some simple furniture design.

The majority of shops in the cdc have an English speaking staff member

the directory is online

the majority of shops have phone numbers

you could get lucky and find a helpful person who can tell you the name of the store you want or that it’s gone.

I didn’t see a name that jumped out at me.
The search engine works in English.

they also have a phone number that you can call together with email and line ID

It seems to be offline at the moment.  I'll keep trying and also look for a new web site for it.

OK.   I found the new website through FB.

It was easy to find with a simple Google search and is online. Since I don’t use Farcebook I can’t comment in it.

In Thailand it seems companies concentrate more on keeping their FB page current than keeping their domain registered, the domain hosting bill paid, and monitoring their email accounts.

I can understand their motivations because FB has made it dead simple.  Companies can easily find staff who understand enough of FB to maintain the corporate page.  Another big plus..... it's free.

You can easily use FB without having an account.  You can also use incognito browsing to provide some protection against FB's personal data harvesting.  FB is still a valuable resource for finding companies in Thailand.  As in most instances, FB is not 100% useless or evil.

There are many (probably most) Farcebook company pages that are virtually inaccessible without an account.

I have little interest to doing work to stop being the product.

I didn’t say that I don’t have a Farcebook account just that I don’t use it. I do have an account that has virtually no personal data on it and used it with 1 friend/contact to exchange pictures when overseas because SWMBO could only use it. It is virtually moribund now.

I agree that Farcebook is not 100% useless or evil, just mostly evil, partly useless and an incredible time waster
