Thailand’s Lower House Scrutiny Committee on the Cannabis and Hemp Bill has decided to set a limit of 10 on the number of cannabis plants which can be cultivated for household use and on the size of the land on which cannabis can be cultivated for commercial purposes by small, medium and large scale enterprises, according to Panthep Puapongpan, spokesman for the committee.

The decision will be debated and voted on in the Lower House in its second and third readings, as the Bill passes the first reading on June 8. The Bill legalises the controlled use, sale, import and export of cannabis, plants and their extracts, but it did not specify how many cannabis or hemp plants an individual can grow.

Panthep explained that small-size enterprises are those with land not exceeding 0.8 hectares for cannabis cultivation, medium-size with land not more than 3.2 hectares and large-size enterprises cultivating over 3.2 hectares. There are, however, no limits on the number of cannabis plants which can be cultivated for commercial purposes on that land.

I'm pretty sure they noted land size in Rai, not hectares...

dr Anutin was always stating up to 6 per household, so now it's increase. Good direction development

I think he was saying 6 plants per person, not household. If so, I can now have only 10 instead of 12 ????

Oh my, wifey, who already has her growers permit, will be in her element! Now she can use the sunniest part of the garden, that was always open to nosey outsiders.

Of course back then, she only grew innocent flowers, remembrance Poppies to sell in November. ????

Great Scott! How many do you need?

One season growing ten fertile girls will keep you in bud for years if you do it right!  ???? I hope the locals are diligent in destroying males, that's now the biggest existential threat to the good stuff.

Being a novice out of many attempts I managed to get 1 plant reach harvest, so the more I can grow the better chances I have to get some right...

Just say your growing it commercially and you can grow as much as you want.

Another day, another clarification!  Who can keep up?  The department in charge of publishing the rules for this seems to have a job for life.
