Taking Thai wife and daughter to Vietnam

Featured Replies

Ive read Thai passport holders dont need a visa. What about Oz passport. I suspect I do need to get an Evisa. If so what is the official link?

Would you recommend going to Da Nang?

I have fond memories of Hannoi and cant decide. Looking for interesting 5 days quick trip from Bangkok. Any suggestions?

thanks

Da Nang is a very nice family beach resort, clean clear water for swimming.

Hoi An is a short bus trip away.

Why not, there's good public bus services.

Bus from airport to the beach 50c (leaves from outside the local arrivals 100m to the right of the international arrivals) , bus from Da Nang to Hoi An $1.

Those photos I posted were from just before COVID, as a Brit I didn't need a VISA so I went there a lot.

I found AirBnB the best place to book rooms, plenty to choose from within walking distance of the beach.

Hi, I will be doing the same, taking thai wife and our daughter (2 year old) to Da Nang in November. All booked. Can you suggest anythings to see in Da Nang? Also money exchange did you do this at a bank or is there other ways to exchange? Thanks in advance

Bank or ATM.

Thai debit cards work in Viet ATMs.

Can I ask which insurance company you used for Covid insurance when traveling to vietnam? What was the price for 3 people?

I've not left Thailand since the COVID silliness began.

But for holidays in Vietnam I always bought insurance online from AXA.

Wife and child no need visa. Aus you will.

Danang easy to find accomodation Agoda Air Bnb etc.

Big Bhudda on way to Intercon hotel - watch the monkeys.

Bana hills resort for a day trip.

Marble mountain in DaNang.

Beaches and Hoi An.

Depend on family interests maybe a beach resort on the way DaNang to Hoi An

Even Taxi or Grab / Gojet not expensive.

Small street cafes for eating.

Enjoy

I know that pre-Covid they didn't, so, most probably 'no'.
