Popular Post webfact Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 A 3-year-old girl was among six minors who developed undesirable effects between June 21st and 26th after knowingly or unknowingly consuming cannabis or food containing cannabis, according to the Royal College of Paediatricians of Thailand and the Paediatrics Society of Thailand. Citing the report, Asst. Prof. Dr. Opass Putcharoen, chief of the Emerging Infectious Disease Clinical Centre at Chulalongkorn Hospital, said in his Facebook post today (Tuesday) that the little girl ate part of a cookie, believed to contain cannabis, which a relative had bought and kept in the house. She became sleepy and subdued and was sent for treatment. The second case concerns a 14-year-old psychiatric patient, who had not been medicated for two weeks. He reportedly smoked a cigarette, provided by a friend to ease stress, not knowing that it contained cannabis. He became confused and his mood changed. He was treated and sent home. Popular Post starky Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 He became confused and his mood changed after smoking cannabis? Who knew? Here we go again how many of these reefer madness stories are we gonna cop on aseannow? And yes, yes for the wowsers it's not great that a 14 year old was 'avin a puff but I can guarantee you many teenagers here were smoking pot long before a couple months ago. As for the baby cookie story that's far more about parental neglect if anything. Here's a tip don't leave any drugs (illicit, prescription or otherwise), chemicals, small toys, anything poisonous or not easily digestible anywhere an infant can reach it. 12 6

Or would that involve getting up off the sticky bottomed chair ? 3
Popular Post daveAustin Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 Some people are stupid. If it ever gets controlled again, it’ll be because of irresponsible idiots like this bunging it in food and not being more careful. 5 1
Popular Post Iamfalang Posted June 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 28, 2022 Imagine if this type of story was published for every kid who this happened to... the internet would run out of space. I thought Thailand wanted this? I drank a beer and felt strange..........article!!!!!! 3 1 5
billsmart Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 If any of these people consumed cannabis UNKNOWINGLY, the one who was responsible for providing it should be prosecuted. If they KNOWLINGLY consumed cannabis, their stories should be made public in the hopes it will deter others from using cannabis. 1

Besides the fact it's vague as,it says "that the little girl ate part of a cookie, believed to contain cannabis, which a relative had bought and kept in the house" no one said the child was given it deliberately or even implied that furthermore the cookie was only "believed" to have cannabis in it. So whoever owned the cookie was too much of a soft cock to own it which is probably what happened or the story is rubbish which is also possible. 3

Popular Post G Rex Posted June 29, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 29, 2022 In a country of 65 million people - how is this even newsworthy? We are not told of the numbers of minors taking YABA , or those knowingly or unknowingly partaking in the demon alcohol. Give us a break please! 4 3

Lots of toddlers get sleepy in the afternoon and have a nap. Eating a part of a cookie ?? Really .............paranoia much. Totally pathetic that these stories are even considered news worthy. Where are the corresponding stories about youngsters intoxicated by alcopops ? Well....there is a solution. ban cannabis , ban ALL alcohol ( a real evil ) ban cars and motorcycles ( selfish when there is public transport ) ban all prostitutes ( spread STD's ) ban all pronouns ( oh...sorry....already being taken care of ) etc etc. 1 1 1

It seems that toddler found a cannabis-laced cookie lying around and ate it. Nobody actually GAVE it to her. if anything, this is a matter of parenting neglect. Now just imagine the little girl had got hold of daddy's half-empty bottle of "lao khao" standing around openly; or mom's stash of sleeping pills. 2

malibukid Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Thai's are clueless about child safety. see a families riding on motor scooters without helmets with the little one standing up front being the first to die. disgraceful, careless parenting. they should be fined/and or jailed. and the child placed in foster care. child neglect pure and simple. criminal. 1

We've been listening to your side for more than 70 years. I've only been discouraging cannabis use for about 50 years. Before that, I went through a period of about five years where I reguraly ingested it (smoked, mostly) myself. After realizing its negatige effects on me, I stopped and began discouraging its use. I can see by your remarks, you haven't realized that yet, or maybe it doesn't effect you in a negative way - but I doubt that. Anyway, I have never said cannabis should be illegal, although that type of law doesn't bother me. IMO, it's like any other drug used to alter your consciousness, like alcohol, LSD, morphine, heroine, cocaine, etc. If you want to take any of those, that's up to you. I just want to be sure you do not give any of them to me without my prior knowledge and consent.

Yes, sow a two year old standing on the bike with parents both without helmets in heavy traffic just passing one of those police boxes in the junction this morning. All I could do was to make a silent prayer. Can not be compared to any of the stories in this article.
