Plan B Countries - Any Advice or Ideas ?
My only Plan B would be if I left Thailand permanently. Then I would choose Portugal. I have worked in/visited the other SE countries and I have zero interest in living there. A quick summary of nearby countries - Malaysia - no beer. Vietnam - great to visit but can you trust communists. Cambodia - mostly undeveloped apart from Phnom Penh. (Lots of good beer in PNP.) Laos - even more undeveloped. Burma - I will not support the army there and they are going to be there for a long time. Then throw Chinese infiltration into the region and - Portugal. -

Faulty Charger Ignites Inferno: Safety Alert as Resident Loses Home
On November 25, in a horrifying series of events that unfolded in the early hours, a charging phone turned a peaceful abode into a blazing inferno in the Chiang Rak Yai subdistrict of Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani province. The root cause of this catastrophic fire, as dispatched by the Chiang Rak Yai Municipality Radio Centre, was a faulty charger cable. The scene of the incident, Number 10, nestled amid the area's closely packed houses, was a modest wooden structure until it was abruptly claimed by uncontrollable flames. With the fire threatening to spread across the neighbourhood, the immediate response was a testament to the area's emergency preparedness and community spirit. Firefighters from the Chiang Rak Yai Subdistrict Municipality and additional manpower from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation, along with local police and the village headman, Winai Wankra, confronted the raging threat head-on. Assisting them, members of the community joined in with chemical tanks and buckets of water, highlighting an inspiring example of community action under peril. The battle, lasting a nerve-racking twenty minutes, concluded with the stubborn inferno finally extinguished, posing no further threat to the adjacent homes. Despite their efforts, the house had been reduced to ashes. Its owner, 42-year-old Charoen (surname withheld), bravely ventured into the remnants of his home, retrieving some clothing amid the charred wreckage. In retrospect, Charoen reported setting his phone to charge with a suspicious charger and stepping away. Returning to the appalling sight of his transformed residence, he couldn't attribute the disaster to anything but the dubious charger. The incident serves as a wake-up call about the risks presented by faulty electronic devices, particularly chargers that often stay plugged in, unattended. The priority should be safety, urging users to inspect their chargers for any signs of risk and invest in quality, reliable units to prevent any untoward incidents. Boris Johnson Accuses Starmer of Aligning with Hamas Over ICC Netanyahu Arrest Warrant
When will British politicians, of varying political stripes, stop sucking up to Washington? If they cannot tell the truth, at least they could remain silent instead of turning the truth on its head. International law applies to all nations. None are above the law. If you want "a rules-based order", international law is it. -

Israel’s Innovative Food Tech Promises to Bolster Thai Agriculture, Says Ambassador Sagiv
Oh, I see where she's heading now. I thought IS scam startups are long gone, just after Nigerian Black dollars. Nope, I was wrong. IS food technology is about growing cherry tomatoes in the desert. That's all. The rest is <deleted>
