Got a new run of photoperiods starting as I have about 12 autos finishing up over the next couple of weeks. 

2 x Tackett Genetics 'Balboa'

2 x Irie Genetics 'Lemon Jeffrey'

2 x Irie Genetics 'Purple Heart'

 

Tackett is a craft breeder who is very active on Twitter and I've been following his progress. his genetics are some of the best out there according to growers in the US that I respect and trust.

Irie Genetics was recommended on 'The Dude Grows' show on YouTube several times and they have been on my radar for a while. I am also subscribed to the owner's podcast 'Grow From Your Heart' on YouTube (his name is Rasta Jeff hence the name of the strain) and am a member on the Discord. His genetics are impressive with good terpene profiles and high THC levels which regularly hit 30% depending on strain. 

 

Seeds were purchased from Siam Seeds with the exception of the Irie Genetics which I got from a friend in the US. 

 

I am germinating these now also:

2 x Tackett Genetics 'The Manta Ray' (his only sativa dominant strain so far)

2 x Exotic Genetix 'Quikz' (I was so impressed with the Night Moves from this breeder that I will grow any of their strains all day every day)

1 x Sensi Seeds 'Jack Herer' (they are the original breeder of the Jack Herer strain, so I'm excited to get this one going)

For the weed.in.th product search / filtering it needs to have access to your geolocation.

The process for enabling this can very from device to device.

We did not create the strain.

You can read more here, as there is quite a long history.

But most are hybrids now so they don't smell exactly like that, and still retain some sweetness to them.

Brick enthusiasts, how are you storing your weed? 

 

My latest batch that I got end of February, started to mold on some of the buds.

 

When I bought it, I opened the air sealed package, broke it all apart and put it into a big jar. It was not fully dry so for the first few days I left the jar open for 30 min a day. This was 4 weeks ago. Today a few buds at the bottom of the jar are covered in mold... ????

 

I went through the buds carefully to remove anything that looks moldy. Had to throw away about 10 - 15 grams. 

 

Where did I go wrong? Was I supposed to dry it completely before putting it into jars?

Mr Biker I would say they have sold you really old brick at least a year old if not more.

Myself I steer clear of brick as it can seriously do some damage to your health given the chemicals used in production and inhaling mold, well, not good.

Fresh is best...!!!!

best to throw it all away. the mold spores would be throughout the entire storage jar. so it is all contaminated.

It' never bothered me, mouldy cheese no problem.

Mouldy bread, just slice the discoloured part off.

Penicillin, not a problem.

Get some 2 way humidy packs (I use Boveda 62%), and / or buy some better quality weed.

I haven't touched brick weed apart to test occasionally since legalisation.

The 'Cherry White' at 250 baht for 15 grams is a much better buy imo.

that might be you personally but there is a huge market for flavors and terpenes. huge. terpenes are worth a fortune. real ones. i agree with you on alcohol but unless you have tried some of my dabs you are missing out on taste. a proper dab done with fire is an explosion of taste and flavor. 

 

seeing the weed most smoke on here..... they are also all missing out for the most part. not trying to be a d999 just there is a huge difference in qualities and unless you experience it yourself you remain in the unknown. 

 

what most people consider good or quality weed is at best usually b grade. 

 

let me send you some fire to see the difference i am talking about. 1 tiny teeny joint and you will instantly know.

@britman , i agree about mold being everywhere , that is not the terrible advice , that is just life. molds will only grow under certain conditions .

i use cedar wood balls in my containers. i bought them for our closets and they work great for any type of humid situation. cigars and glove boxes too ???? they are a lot cheaper than boveda packs.

i just went thru about 2kg of stock and i found mold on the Bangya Bongz brick that was broken up and put in an airtight container. it had a boveda pack in it too lol. there's another unopened 100g brick from them in the freezer and it looks fine. we'll have to use it fast when we open it or grind the whole thing.

 

the rest of the inventory looks fine. over a kg of Lampang GC from various months looks and smells great. they are stored in a room cooled during the day in a dark cabinet (with previously mentioned cedar balls).

 

no more BB for me. thanks for the heads up!

I received my 10g plus 5g sample this week too. Here my take.

 

 The Good;

  -They accept COD.

  -Delivered in 2 days.

  -Delivered by Thai Post ( where I live Thai Post is good, cheap couriers are a nightmare).

  -The price. At a little more than 15 baht a gram, this is what this topic is all about.

 

 The Bad;

  -These are the smallest buds I have ever seen trimmed. In my growing days I would have thrown any bud this small on the hash pile.

 

 The Worst;

  This is not Cherry White. Cherry White is a sativa with a potential of  22% - 26% THC. This is more likely Cherry Wine a CBD strain with 14% CBD and 4% - 7%     THC. If your looking to get *******, this isn't going to do it.
