Boris begs for Tories to defeat Rishi Sunak as he 'planned' coup for month 'It's personal'

BORIS JOHNSON is urging failed Tory leadership candidates to push back against Rishi Sunak, the former Chancellor whose stab in the back to the PM ultimately led to his resignation.

More desirable than being a lieing war criminal?

I'd say the onus was on Blair not to lie, rather than on the Tories to correctly assess whether he was lieing or not. Lieing is not allowed in the House of Commons, nor is calling someone a liar. The Tories therefore can be forgiven for believing he was being truthful. After all, it takes a special kind of evil to lie about something in order to make war (and thousands of deaths) possible.

Blaming the Tories for Blair's lieing and subsequent war crimes is frankly, ridiculous.

The whole nonsense about Blair/Bush "lying" when Saddam had killed thousands with WMDs, suits both the Tories and the far-left George Galloway brigade.  Tony would make a fine Tory leader...

Come on. Everybody knew there were no WDM. The French I.S. knew it and the British intelligence in Irak was at least as well introduced, if not better. It was all about "the special relationship" with the USA and the Tories were as keen to preserve it as Tony Blair.

It's never Labour's fault, is it?

Their record while in power and their failure to own their mistakes is why they've been out of power for so long with no sign of a return.

After Blair's war crimes they deserve at least a couple of decades in the wilderness. It could be more.

Blair killed thousands. Boris had a party.

The electorate are not as stupid as you wish them to be.

Obviously, it was Blair's fault. I don't deny it and I think he should have been punished.

But the fact that there was no WDM was an open secret that most politicians were just pretending to ignore because of the "special relationship".

From the debate…truss having a mare but tugendhat  is prodding posterior

“Tom Tugendhat has said that when, as Chancellor, Rishi Sunak was trying to persuade Tugendhat to vote for tax rises, the reason Sunak gave was “because the boss wanted it”. There is an audible gasp in the room.

And it leaves an open question about Sunak’s tactics …”

Do you understand that it's up to the moderators to provide topics in this forum?

And it’s up to the posters what they reply to.
MSM are lapping bit up. Nothing else interesting to report, or really wanting to influence politics?

I think it fairer to hold each MP to account for their own voting record.

It avoids having to argue they are easily lead fools.

(Bringing you back to Topic)

This is especially significant given the fact that the subject leadership election has come about as the direct result of the lies of the PM who is being replaced.

Let’s judge the candidates on their record of supporting a blatant liar.

You seem to have forgotten that the UK populace, even your socialists, voted for a party led by YOUR "blatant liar" in the resent general election.

Why did they do that....?  ????

200,000 UK citizens have died from Covid during Johnson's tenure whilst he partied.

The Tories have been hammered in every recent by- election, even in cast iron seats.

The public have shown their disgust for Johnson and his lies. The Tory financiers realised he had turned into a liability so he had to go.

The shot economy with rampant inflation and staggering energy price increases is a poisoned chalice for the next Tory leader.

Sorry, I had to laugh at that lot.....????

If by oblivion you mean stupor, I agree.

Well yes, because the opposition have difficulty understanding anything beyond 4 letter words, especially the second in command....????

He takes a lot of flak because of his appearance, eccentricity, wealth and accent but he actually talks a lot of sense.

A debate between him and someone like Rayner is like putting Mike Tyson against Mr Bean.

Like The Moggster I also dislike Sunak. I think he will make it to the last 2 and lose the members vote.

Politically I am most closely aligned to Kemi but I dont think she'll win so I'm hoping for Truss or Mordant.

Me too....Fingers crossed......????

"Youse are all skum".

What's not to like about our dear, snarling Angela?

The deputy leader makes Dianne Abbott's privately educated, nurse attacking son look cultured, intelligent and mild mannered.

She embodies the mean, vitriolic nature of the left. Team "be kind" ????

They are exactly what they accuse you of being.

And they wonder why the voters reject them time after time.

200,000 dead and you feel you need to tell us you had to laugh at it.

Think about that for a moment.

There you go again, looking for a twist, the laugh was at the post....????
