77kaoded reported on the antics of a 35 year old man called Prajat who went crazy in Krabi with a 50 cm "Sparta" knife attacking an assistant phu yai ban and his wife as they took their six year old to school.

The assistant PYB made a citizen's arrest before Muang District police arrived at the scene on the Petchkasen Krabi - Neua Klong Road.

The video showed that the attacker was still unwilling to go quietly. He was incoherent and thrashing about and later shuffling about on his bottom.

Kasem, 45, showed on his hand how he had been attacked. His wife Rorya, 40 was also superficially hurt.

As they were riding a motorbike taking their six year old to school they said that Prajiat accosted them saying they were trespassing.

He quickly got a large knife and attacked them without warning.

The assistant PYB managed with the help of his wife to overcome the attacker.

Drugs are suspected causing a paranoid attack.

It wasn't the first time that Prajiat has gone berserk, though apparently the worst yet.

A friend helped by taking the uninjured child to school.

The wife said it was fortunate that she was driving the bike and that her son was not injured in the ambush.

Her husband was able to ward off the attack and perform a citizen's arrest.

Prajiat is in custody facing assault and weapons charges.
