Without a bank account in Thailand the OP has no choice but to carry the money with him, one million Baht in crisp banknotes, but there is probably a limit on how much Thai currency a foreigner is allowed to bring in. martin81 Posted July 24, 2022 Share Posted July 24, 2022 With wise you can have one account with many currencies incl. THB. So just get their Visa Debit card and use it in Thailand. No fees to pay with it. But some fees to withdraw. Only less than 0.6% fee to change into other currency eg. from USD to THB. That way you will not need a Thai bank account. OP doesn't hint as to end use (some things might need to show originated outside Thailand) or country of origin. Didn´t he ask for the best way to bring money to Thailand? Then I am giving him an answer about the best way. The bets way is always to not carry to much money on your person, which includes risks.
