Re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon,

Short question.

I just was contacted that my lovely mother passed away.

I probably will fly to Europe on Sunday and my question is about the re-entry permit.
Where exactly is it at Suvarnabhumi?

What are the opening hours.

Any problems coming back to Thailand after a week or so; (haven't been away for 3 years).

Do I need my local health certificate with me for re-entry to Thailand?

Thanks in advance.

Zone 2 after security check and prior to passport control.

The office offers a fill in form with photo service 200baht.

Open 24 hours.

Re Covid certificate....I use the Mor Prom app to send certificate.

BTW condolences.

Never wrong to have a screenshot or printout of your vax history.

From a mate who came some 7 week ago: hold up the QR code and nobody cared. But better safe than having problems.

They take a photo or do I have to take one with me?
Can I print and  fill in the form beforehand?

Thanks

If you use the service they provide to make everything easy, you do not need a photo or to fill in the form yourself. You just need an extra 200 baht. However, there is nothing preventing you from downloading and filling out a form yourself in advance, along with providing your own photo. They will accept that.

I prefer to do it myself.

Download TM8. Also some basic photocopies of pp.

Requires photo.

OR

If you have them do it you basically just pay the 200 service fee. You provide nothing.

Coming back to Thailand, do they want to see that I have a Thai health insurance?

Insurance is only required if you are entering with a Non-OA visa.

If a entry from a Non-O visa it is not required.

  • 2 weeks later...

Back in Thailand.

Went all smoothly.

Getting the re-entry at the airport was easy. Nobody in front of me.
Came back Saturday morning at 5AM.
Through immigration in 1 minute, straight to pick up my luggage. Nobody to check hand luggage.

Leaving Germany (as I travelled from Duesseldorf) was more difficult.
Typical german arrogance:

Do you have visa for Thailand?
Yes, I live there.
Show me:

You have my passport in your hand, look it up.
I want to see your vaccination certificate.
Good that I had printed it off as I could not open the app.

Later, they checked hand luggage and did a drug test on my me belongings.

Question: As there is no TM6 anymore and 90 days is due.
Do I put my old TM6 number os does it count from my re-entry to Thailand?

Regards,

You 90 day report is due 90 days from the day you entered the country. Leave the TM6 number space blank since you do not have one.

@RafPintoThanks for your follow up posts, it doesn't happen often that users "give back"

If the DUS authorities used a "wand" on your hand baggage, that is an explosive detection test. Dogs are the primary tool used in drug detection at airports.

All the best, and welcome home!

Just tried to submit my 90 days online as it is due on 04th of september.

Got email stating that it was rejected:

Your application for "STAYING LONGER THAN 90 DAYS" has been rejected.

This online application can be submitted 15 days in advance until the due date of notification.

Seems that they now know when you left the country and when you travelled back and the 90 days start from the moment of entry into Thailand.

I assume you wrote your new date of arrival when you completed the report. That is how they would know you got a new entry to the country.

No, I did not.

Just did as I never left the country since 2019 (the date of my TM6)

Next 90 days due date would be 04th September

Came straight back as rejected as I am outside the 15days window.
04th of September is inside the 14 days but it must now be on their system that I re-entered the country on Saturday 19th August 2022.

The officer doing the approval probably checked your records and discovered you had recently entered the country.

That's what I thought but my ex, re-entered the country a few months ago and she still does her 90 days like she never left the country since 2019.
