Thai Covid Center approves visa period extensions for foreign tourists

 

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has approved the visa exemption period extension for foreign tourists from 30 days to 45 days from October 2022 to March 2023 to potentially boost the tourism industry.

Prayut looks to lift emergency decree, extend visa exemption and visa on arrival to boost tourism

The Thai government said it is considering the lifting of the nationwide emergency decree that has been in place since 2020. It also decided to extend the visa exemption for up to 45 days along with visa on arrival for up to 30 days for a period of six months to help boost tourism.

A NATURE field trip by fifth graders and their teachers in Nakhon Si Thammarat province turned into a disaster after the bridge they were all crossing suddenly collapsed under their weight plunging them all into the pool of water below injuring six of them, Matichon said yesterday (August 19).

Allowing bars to remain open until 04:00 hrs. in tourist destinations is not that bad an idea, but the implementation of rules changes needs to be done in order to promote the designated bar/pub areas in the country and take into account where the tourists are spending the money.
