Popular Post EdrigoSalvadore Posted August 21, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2022 I think the people still suffering in the hospital might need it more, especially the foreigners who can't pay the hospital bills. 7
Popular Post ukrules Posted August 21, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 21, 2022 105,000 Baht per family, such generosity. Who's paying for the care of the burn victims, this might keep them in ICU for a couple of days. 9

Well said Sir. Indeed for comparison the Vietnamese girl's medical bills to date have been reported as B600,000 (and are continuing). 4 1

Popular Post Excel Posted August 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2022 From the department whose role it is to ensure laws are enacted and that they are carried out or otherwise punished for not doing so. Had that occurred then perhaps 19 people may still be alive and the BS surrounding the Justice Dept. now chest banging photo op for awarding such paltry compensation would have been unnecessary. 2 2

Popular Post newnative Posted August 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 22, 2022 A pittance. Meanwhile, owner and his son quickly came up with 1.3 million for bail. Revoke the bail and pass the 1.3MB along to the victims--as a start on what they owe them. 7

I'd love to see a hospital try to sue a victim for money who can't afford to pay and it goes to court.
harada Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 Divulging who the silent partners are would explain the prompt compensation payouts, but I doubt this will happen, it will more likely be a bail and a ticket to Dubai scenario. ✈️
Aussieroaming Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 The Justice Minister probably skimmed half of the money off under the one for you, one for me rule.
paulikens Posted August 22, 2022 Posted August 22, 2022 As far as know I don't know any other country where compensation is paid out so quick, there's usually at least a full proper investigation before compensation is even talked about. Is this because they know Thais are brought off easily and happy to accept blood money and so then won't kick up a fuss????
Leaver Posted August 24, 2022 Posted August 24, 2022 And there you have it, the price of life in Thailand.
