A friend will be returning to LOS shortly and staying in the his own Condo (fully owned).

He is concerned, as he is receiving conflicting reports regarding reporting his address. (is it actually necessary?)

Can anyone please give pertinent advice?

A TM30 report of address report would only be needed if entering with a new visa.

If he uses re-entry for a existing extension of stay or a multiple entry visa it would not be needed.

He can do it online after registering to do it. Site for it is here: https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/

the easiest way to do online TM30 is the mobile app. Its super easy and cna be done in 5-10min.
