CHONBURI POLICE are chasing a thief dressed as a food delivery rider who stole 3.4 million baht payroll after picking a fight with one of two employees of a company who had just withdrawn the cash to pay wages, Naewna newspaper.

 

Pol. Col. Tawee Kudthang, head of Ban Bueng police station, rushed to the scene of the robbery at a rear of a bank in this district upon being alerted of the crime.

 

He was told by Ms. Prapaporn (surname withheld), 29, who was in a state of shock that she came to the bank in her company’s van to withdraw the large amount of cash to pay the workers’ wages which is something she did on the 5th and the 20th of every month.

Let's just say that the clumsy and foolhardy way they ignore the real possibilities of being robbed serves to show that people are gullible and never learn from others mistakes, only from their own cock-ups...

Maybe the company should re-think it's payment strategy..

Definitely need to re-think using that same van for bank pick up.  May be a Q of masked/helmet'd MB riders waiting outside the bank next month.
