What happened to Rock n Roll
I can tell you, when I put on music from the 50s, 60s, or 70s, or 80s, whhich is the music I like, my Thai gf always says "och so oooold". She doesn't appreciate this good music at all. Not even a little. The mere fact that it's old, already means it's bad and not worth listening to, in her mind. I try to explain what good music is, but it's no use. Play SZA though and her face lights up and she gets in a good mood. To these young people this "good" music is old trash not worth listening to. I'm not joking. -

Crime Drunk Brit Attacks Bar Worker, Hurt by American Customer
UPDATE British Tourist Breaks Arm Following Bar Altercation in Pattaya Picture courtesy of TMN A British tourist has been hospitalised with a broken arm following a confrontation at a beer bar in Pattaya’s bustling Soi 11 area Witnesses told police the incident began when Mr George Lilley 66, asked a 39-year-old bar employee, Ms Sureerat, to sit and drink with him. She declined, explaining that she needed to serve other customers. This reportedly led to a heated argument during which Mr George allegedly punched her in the face. According to police, a second foreign customer, who was not named, but described as being of a significantly larger build, intervened by pulling Mr George away from the altercation. The force of the action caused Mr George to fall to the ground, resulting in his injury. The man who intervened remained at the scene and cooperated fully with officers, maintaining that he had no intention of causing harm. CCTV footage reviewed by police confirmed that Mr George had been pulled away rather than physically attacked. Authorities have collected CCTV evidence for their investigation. As of the morning of 7 August, neither Mr George nor Ms Sureerat had filed formal complaints. Officers noted that the video also showed Ms Sureerat had poked Mr George in the face before the scuffle escalated, possibly provoking his reaction. The investigation remains open pending any complaints from those involved. Adapted by Asean Now from Khaosod 2025-08-07
