 Does anyone that lives in Ubon know of a shop that has a large range of Android Boxes to choose from ?

You may want to consider the formuler TV android streaming devices. State of the art, fit for purpose and fully supported, etc. They have distribution in Pattaya and Bangkok now. I have several and they are near flawless and have the best cable like player TV guide included.

Any idea of cost of the latest models as a brief search suggests pricing generally north of $150 outside of Asia?

OP IMHO your best chance is to do a lot of research into what's available using specialist sites like Freaktab for example and then ordering online from Lazada or similar.

Simplistically Formuler are a brand of Android TV boxes.

You would need to either use Kodi or similar and/or pay a subscription to an IPTV service.
