I'm still surprised at how many Russian apologists reply to these Russian invasion threads. Posters here are not professional diplomats who must weigh their words carefully. So they don't, thinking they are taking the moral high road by refusing to condemn the aggressor. They are not. They are appeasers. We know that appeasement is often unsuccessful.. The run-up to WW2 is an excellent example.

I don’t think anyone is trying to make her out to be an academic, or an  eloquent scholar. However, most people have commended her for using her brief window of opportunity to call out the evil Putin.

If she had made her speech in Thai, she would have garnered more respect from her own citizens and maybe even make some politicians sit up and take notice. Instead, she was obviously pandering to the west, for obvious reasons.
