Yesterday, the 5G-icon showed up on my phone. Should I be happy?
Dear Folks, I am not exactly sure if I SHOULD be happy; but I AM happy. As you will no-doubt recall, I had been using a NOTE4 for many years, until I switched to a budget Samsung, the A5-5G, which I am rather pleased to be using now. For some reason, the 5G-Icon has only recently showed up on my phone, probably either yesterday, or today, since I have not really been paying much attention. What do you think this might mean for someone like me, one who rarely uses my phone for much, except texting on WeChat or Line? Probably, it will not mean much to me, except to make me feel happy, for a day or two. Do you have access to 5G where you are? Does it really make that much of a difference? I am using AIS and DTAC services, with two SIMS installed in this phone. Someday, maybe, if I ever leave my compound, I might have use for faster mobile connection speeds, but not now. Every year, we have something new to look forward to. And, this New Year, I have been blessed by seeing this 5G-icon suddenly appear on my phone. So, yes, I am happy. Still, 5G will not really make me that happy. I just hope I live long enough to have 6G show up on my phone, in the very near future, and before I die. Some say that 5G will help to extend battery life. I hope so. What else can it do? Do you know? If you want a decent phone, one that is very cheap, might I suggest this A5-5G Samsung, with 256GB of internal storage, and room to add up to 1TBytes of MicroSD storage. This things is quite well built, for such a cheap phone. I would say that Samsung has provided me with a real winner. Although, NOTE4 still remains my all-time favorite phone, except for my older.... Samsung Galaxy S3, which was even more amazing for its time. Best regards, Gamma -

3 ways to make TV/AN a more pleasant and more useful experience
This springs to mind when considering the behaviour of the creator of this thread:- Overview. Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental health condition in which people have an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. They need and seek too much attention and want people to admire them. People with this disorder may lack the ability to understand or care about the feelings of others. Probably never even considered that he is on more ignore lists than any other poster on the forum. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
Worst thread ever. So much self-anxiety for no reason whatsoever which only creates anxiety for others. I have no assessable income due to DTA. I won't be filing or "declaring" my non-assessable income because it's not required according to TRD. One only needs to file a tax return if you exceed the 60/120/220 level of assessable income. Continue to self-flagellate peeps. You're only making your own life more stressful than it needs to be. -

3 ways to make TV/AN a more pleasant and more useful experience
These type of threads are great ..... giving the usual suspects just another opportunity to slip in the same ignorant ad hominem attacks ( "stupid... right wing... idiots.... tin foil hatters.... anti vax nuts."... etc etc ) into their post. I guess it makes themselves feel superior . Are they ?? Well.... the world and especially forums is full of ..... all types -

Starmer Condemns 'Lies and Misinformation' Over Child Sexual Abuse
Odd thing to say given it was you who accused me of being, ‘a breathtaking lack of knowledge’ on this matter. And yet here you are today conceding the points I make on the law and procedure of inquiries. There’s no ‘smug arrogance’ in having read the laws applying to inquiries long before ever commenting on how they proceed. -

Grab and Food Panda BLOCKING (some or all?) Thai bank debit cards
I will try! Thank you. It's possible to chat up drivers when they accept orders and ask if they can change 1000 (it helps to tell them how much you will tip if they can as after all they're not bringing your food for their health) and I can also ask them if I can scan pay. Do others have experience doing that successfully with Grab and Panda drivers?
