Shocking that doctor actually has to warn them about this at first place.

Fruit bat's are a delicacy as they only eat fruit their meat is sweet.

Remember the adage I am what I eat and I'd like to be you tomorrow.

I can't believe that people have to actually be TOLD not to eat bats!????

Bat stew is not an uncommon dish in many parts of Asia, it was served to us at 5 star in Mauritius some years ago.....far too many small bones for my liking.

Don’t Eat Bats, Panda Lab Doctor Warns

Is this the end of Rock & Roll as we know it?

At least Ozzy thought the bat thrown on the stage was a toy.

His own words:

“I thought it was a rubber bat,” Osbourne said. “I picked it up, put it in my mouth, crunched down, bit into it, being the clown that I am.”

My wife sometimes shows me videos of people eating crazy tings, or crazy amount of things in front of their own camera. I have just to say what stupid people, do anything for a click.

Find something intelligent to show instead.

Nothing but a rat with wings, usually smaller.  And rat meat sells rather well here in some parts.  Think small cornish hen vs big A$$ chicken.

He warned that bats are a source of germs and carry over 60 types of viruses and people should stop messing around with them and learn from the global Covid-19 pandemic.

People will do all sorts of crazy stuff for a like.

Not really, I was at the trader fair in my local temple yesterday watching an array of creepy crawlies cooked in soy sauce that normally scurry across the dirt being readily consumed by locals with delight.

They may well be high in protein... but not high on  my go-to list.

He also said "Don't smoke, don't run with scissors and don't stick your hand in the fan."

I was at a place Isaan once, fan with no guard/shroudspinning away. I acted like a moth to the flame and slowly walked towards it with my hand stuck out.

Several folks started "Yelling " Mai chai!"

Guess you'd have had to been there.

Live bats were a daily sight at the local market in Luang Prabang, (plus live tortoise, civet cat, monitor lizard, snake etc etc).

Quite so. I realize some folks do eat bats, especially in, but not only, China.

The Chinese eat almost anything. Rats are eaten a lot in Nigeria!
