So the Cactus Club is gone.  Sad news indeed since it was the bar I always started my Soi Cowboy nights in.  I always had a ton of fun there and John's Wednesday night meals were always great.

 

Over the years I got to know a number of the girls there, and enjoyed some private time with a number of them.  I remember being upstairs with one of the dancers one night and as we lay on the bed I heard an angelical preacher outside trying to convert the local sinners.  Not only did I have a good time in the bed but I got a great laugh at the same time.

The last time I was in a go-go in patong the dancers were clothed. I thought that was the new thing, naked not allowed, especially the ones you can see in from the street.

Sort of 'On Topic' but not replying to the OP.  I've always found Bacarra on Cowboy an amusing place to take newbies.  A few years ago I took a guy who was on a short working trip to Bangkok.  We settled in with a drink, sat up to the downstairs dance floor.  As a first timer he was transfixed to the semi-naked dancers shaking their stuff in front of him.  I let him drink it in for a few minutes before suggesting he looked up.

 

He almost swallowed his glass - ahh that glass ceiling ????
